Unique Waterproofing Technology & Tough and Durable Soles

Revolutionary Waterproof OutDry Membrane Technology

OutDry LogoFor our waterproof footwear, Totectors will be using the innovative & revolutionary Italian technology to waterproof footwear where the standard manufacturing techniques based on seam-sealed waterproof fabrics cannot be utilized.

Thanks to the OutDry patented lamination process, the waterproof/breathable membrane is directly bonded to the external layer of the shoe, perfectly sealing any possible water entry point. The result is always extreme waterproofness, together with unmatched comfort. OutDry® is the more efficient waterproofing system because it is completely integrated with your footwear construction. For this reason it is the more discreet, absolutely invisible, located between the upper and the lining.

Latest Desma TPU/PU Dual Injection Machines

Totectors uses the German built Desma machine – considered by most manufacturers to be the finest in the world. Desma are the leading machinery manufacturers for direct soling and unit sole production to the footwear industry. Their rotary process of moulding dual density soles directly onto uppers, offers a progressive solution for high quality, economic efficiency and high performance products, teamed with integrated robotic arms to give accuracy and consistency of product replication.

The process creates a lighter, more flexible, shock absorbing sole with excellent slip resistant properties, in addition to being hard wearing, antistatic and oil and chemical resistant, making it ideally suited to safety footwear. The dual density sole technology is a fusion of hard wearing compact Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) which forms a tough, durable outer skin with a lightweight expanded Polyurethane (PU) having a density of 0.5g/cm2, giving a shock absorbing cushion that insulates the foot from rough terrain.
