Welcome to the Totectors.net website terms and conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to accept the terms and conditions set out below. It is your responsibilty to ensure that you have read through and agree to these terms and conditions with each order placed. Before placing an order, if you have any additional queries relating to these terms and conditions, please email us at orders@totectors.net.

We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.

In our dealings with you, we work on the assumption that all sales are to private consumers.

Get free delivery to UK mainland when you spend £80 or more!
UK DELIVERY ONLY (INCLUDING NORTHERN IRELAND)

Delivery Guide
We offer express delivery service throughout the UK. Every effort is made to deliver within 48 hours for orders placed before 12pm (GMT), however under circumstances beyond our control, this deadline might not be met. Orders placed after 12pm (GMT) on  Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.

Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands and AB postcodes will take longer to arrive. We aim to deliver orders placed before 12pm (GMT) within 3-4 working days to these areas.
Please note we cannot cancel an order or change a delivery address once the parcel has been despatched.

Delivery Costs
UNITED KINGDOM ONLY
Please note that £2.95 + VAT delivery charge will be applied to any order below £80.

Delivery Times
Our couriers typically deliver Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm. Please note Saturdays and Sundays are not classed as working days. No deliveries are made on bank holidays.

A signature is requested on delivery. If you are not in when our couriers first try to deliver and they cannot find a safe location to leave the package, they will leave a card, take your order back and then attempt to redeliver it one more time on the following working day. Please follow the instructions on the card left by the courier to arrange redelivery.

If you place your order during a bank holiday period, please allow an extra working day for delivery.

Tracking Your Delivery
When we despatch your order, we will send you a confirmation email. You should receive this email within 48 hours of placing your order. The email will contain a unique consignment number to track your parcel with our couriers.

To track your parcel please log on to http://www.city-link.co.uk and enter the tracking number provided in your despatch email. Please allow 12 hours from a receipt of the confirmation email before tracking your order.

Please note we cannot cancel an order or change a delivery address once the parcel has been despatched.

Delivery Problems
If you have any problems tracking your delivery or any other problems with your order, please email us giving the order reference number, your full name, billing address and contact phone number. We will endevour to reply back to you within 48 hours.

Safety Footwear
Genuine Totectors safety footwear is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the European Directive for Personal Protective Equipment (Directive 89/686/EEC) and is certified to EN20345:2004. Totectors safety footwear is designed to be extremely durable and can be worn in most industrial environments, however the life and performance of the product in some conditions can be reduced substantially.

It is important the type of footwear is carefully selected to give the optimal protection and performance for the environment in which they are intended to be worn.  If uncertain, it is important that consultation be carried out between the purchaser and the seller to ensure, where possible, the correct footwear is provided. If the footwear becomes damaged it will NOT provide the optimal level of protection and therefore should be replaced immediately.
NEVER USE DAMAGED SAFETY FOOTWEAR.

Footwear must be used in accordance with the guidance given in the information leaflet provided with the footwear and in conditions which can reasonably be associated with the use of that specific footwear.

All of our products carry a 12 month warranty from date of sale against any manufacturing defects. We reserve the right to inspect claims under the above warranty before any settlement can be authorised.

Accessories
For goods sold as accessories, Totectors warrants that they are free of any manufacturing defects and fit for purpose for a period of 3 months from date of sale.

RETURNS

Returns Policy
We would like all our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. In a rare instance that you are not, we are happy to issue a refund provided you return the goods to us in a saleable condition with the packaging & labels intact within 14 days of receipt.
If you have to return your purchase due to a manufacturing defect or an error on our part, we will be happy to give you a full refund including the cost of your return postage*.
If the return is not due to our fault, handling fee of 15% of the full value of the item, will be charged to your card. If this entails an exchange, then you will be responsible for a redelivery charge. Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment and you will be notified via email. 
 
Returning goods bought on sale
We can only refund sale items if they are damaged, defective or because of an error on our part. In this case, we will refund the amount paid and the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and we'll also reimburse your delivery costs* in returning it to us, where applicable.

How to return items
Provided your return postage is no more than £4.95*, please send your returns to the address below via Royal Mail:

Clearly label all returns and explain why you are returning goods and what you would like us to do; exchange or issue a refund?
You must include the following information:
• Order number
• Your name and address, including postcode
• Contact telephone number
• Email address
• Reason for return. If faulty, clearly state what the fault is.
• What you would like us to do: exchange or issue a refund

If any of the above details are missing, it may result in a delay in processing your refund. With any returns, we reserve the right to not to issue a refund for any item that is not in a new condition or after the 14 day period. We will email you to let you know once your parcel has been received and your refund has been processed. Please remember to ask the Post Office for your proof of posting certificate and retain it for your reference. We can not be held responsible for items lost in the post. We cannot refund any money if we do not receive the returned items.

We will endevour to process refunds within 14 days of receipt of your returned goods. Please note that it may take 2-3 working days for the refunds to show in your account after processing.

Refund policy on the delivery charge
If an item is faulty or damaged, we will refund the delivery charges you have paid to receive that item unless it was sent to you with other items which you are not returning. We will also reimburse your postage costs for returning it to us, where applicable.
If we have made a mistake on an item sent to you, we will send you the correct item at no extra delivery charges to you and also reimburse your delivery costs in returning it to us, where applicable.

*Our maximum refund limit on return postage is £4.95.

Statutory rights

Your UK statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro, MasterCard

If you have paid on your credit or debit card you will only be charged once the goods have been dispatched to the delivery address. We will email you to confirm dispatch.

All prices displayed are exclusive of VAT. Upon Checkout, VAT will be added where applicable. The total cost of the order is the price of the products, applicable VAT plus the delivery charge.

Please note: Shoes are standard rated and boots are zero rated for VAT.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses or does not authorise payment then you will be notified of this at the check-out stage.

In assessing your request for goods or services, we may use your information for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Whilst every effort has been made to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products, the limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may vary.

We try to be as accurate as possible; however, all sizes and measurements are approximate. Unless otherwise stated, sizes indicated are UK sizes. Please refer to the size guide for clarification.

Product Care - Footwear
When not in use, we recommend you clean the product and store it in the packaging provided, in a dry, well-ventilated area.  (Optimum conditions for a storage are 10 -  20ºC at 60 – 70% RH). Footwear with a PU or rubber sole should not be stored for more than 1 year. It is recommended to use the footwear as quickly as possible to avoid any occurrence of hydrolysis. For your information, hydrolysis is a phenomenon, which causes a chemical degradation, through the combination of the humidity and the micro-organisms, particularly in a closed environment.

If any white marks appear on the leather (salt reappearance), please just brush and polish it.

Never force-dry footwear that has become saturated as this can cause deterioration of the upper materials. We recommend they are left to dry naturally in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area.

Never use caustic cleaning agents or strong detergents for cleaning.

Grain Leathers
Clean with a damp cloth to remove dirt, stains etc.  Then apply a good propriety wax polish to improve the water resistance and keep the leather supple.

Nubuck And Suede Leathers.
Clean with a damp cloth as for grain leathers (do not saturate).   When dry, gently rub the surface with a brass “suede brush” or suede/nubuck cleaning block to restore the finish.

Soles
Clean using a blunt knife and stiff bristled brush.
